Infrastructure

Structured Cabling Infrastructure

Supply, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and support of structured cabling — copper and fibre, from a single rack to a full site.

What this is for

The problem behind the requirement.

Cabling is the one part of an installation nobody looks at until it fails, and by then the people who put it in have usually gone. The faults it causes rarely announce themselves as cabling: a link that negotiates at a lower speed, a camera that drops overnight, a desk that works until someone moves it.

We supply, install, test and commission copper and fibre, and hand over the evidence: every link tested, both ends labelled, and as-built records that let the next person trace a run without pulling ceiling tiles. Afterwards it can be supported as it changes, because installations always do.

This is the right conversation when

  • A move, refit or expansion needs cabling planned rather than improvised
  • Nobody can say with certainty where an existing run goes
  • Faults keep being blamed on the network without evidence either way
  • The original installation was never tested, labelled or documented

What the work can include

  • Site survey and containment planning
  • Supply of cable, containment, racks, patch panels and outlets
  • Copper and fibre installation and termination
  • Testing of every link, with results handed over
  • Labelling, as-built records and rack elevations

Where it is most useful

Organisations that need a clear, proportionate route through a technology change or operational priority.

Questions it can address

  • We use discovery to understand the operational context and the priority to address first.

Capabilities

Practical detail, shaped around the scope.

  1. Cat6 and Cat6A copper
  2. Fibre backbone and cabinet links
  3. Patch panel and rack build
  4. Link-by-link test results
  5. Labelling to a documented scheme

Delivery approach

A clear route from discovery to next steps.

  1. 1Survey
  2. 2Design
  3. 3Supply
  4. 4Install
  5. 5Test and commission
  6. 6Support

Security and governance

Consider risk early, then agree the right controls.

Security, resilience, access control and data handling should be considered in the scope before production work begins.

Any formal certification, legal advice or independent testing is agreed separately where required.

Service context

What happens next

Tell us what needs attention. We will use the initial context to identify whether this service, a focused assessment or a scoped project is the right next step.

Do you supply the materials as well as install them?

Yes. Cable, containment, racks, patch panels and outlets can be supplied as part of the work, or you can supply your own and CYVRIX installs it.

Do we get test results?

Yes. Every link is tested and the results are handed over with the as-built records. Without them there is no baseline to measure a future fault against.

Can you work on an existing installation?

Yes. Existing runs can be traced, tested, labelled and documented, and faults found without replacing the whole installation.

Do you support the installation afterwards?

Yes. Moves, additions and changes, fault finding, and periodic re-testing can be handled as ongoing work or as part of a support agreement.
